Inspired by the popular Kanga garments worn by women of Eastern Africa, the Kanga card by Annanasi is a beautiful interpretation in paper form.
The design is my own, inspired by the countless Kanga design variations out there and each card has a unique proverb message in Swahili, just as each original garment carries its own message.
The messages are proverbs or sayings which the bearer wishes to carry across whether an act of self-expression or a caution, reassurance or message of love.
The proverbs make each Kanga unique and can at most times be witty and mischievous but also wise and thoughtful.
Special to the Kanga Card is an english translation so you don't have to learn Swahili first to know the message :-)
This card will fit perfect as a gift in itself as it can be framed and the Swahili proverb preserved to reminisce on every day.
It is also big enough for adding a money gift inside and can serve as a card for special love occasions or other big moments where an inspiring quote will be appreciated.
